Another Killer Sandwich on Lonzo’s Baguette

Right around the corner from our house in Culver City is a great, unsung little bakery called Lonzo’s. They’re tiny and they don’t really have much of a retail presence; I suspect they mostly deliver to restaurants. Sometimes while walking our lovely Labrador, gentle Olive, or plodding back from an unusually vigorous workout at the gym, Regina and I will stroll in and pick up a baguette or two. In the morning when they are still warm the baguettes are unbelievably good — crusty, soft, yeasty, steaming, addictive. They make all kinds of other things, but I’m still stuck on their fantastic baguette. They make great sandwiches, like the one I threw together yesterday for lunch.

Ain’t nuthin’ like a tasty sandwich!

Black Forest Ham, prosciutto di parma, arugula, Tillamook cheddar, aioli, whole grain mustard, bread ‘n’ butter pickles on Lonzo’s baguette.
