Once again my little buddy, my son Bennet, helped out with breakfast. We made Toad-in-a-Hole, also called Bunnies in a Nest, Frog in a Hole, Eggs in a Basket, Bull’s Eye Eggs, Gas House Eggs, Sunshine Eggs, and probably dozens of other monikers. Bennet cut the holes, cracked the eggs, and I fried them up in good French butter.

I’ve said this before, but it bears repeating. Cook with your kids, help them understand where food comes from and the effort that goes into cooking. Teach them to care about their food sources and about the quality of the stuff that goes into their bodies. It’s the only way to fight the future, a sad future of obesity, heart disease, and diabetes if we don’t push these lessons forward.
